• Most pregnancy symptoms will go away within a few days, but may last longer if you are using the Pill, the Patch, or the Ring.
  • Morning sickness should disappear within two days, but may persist if you are taking the Pill.
  • Breast changes usually settle by the end of the first week, but may persist if you are taking the Pill. Although unlikely, you may notice a milky discharge from your breasts after the procedure. Do not express the fluid – it will go away within two weeks.
  • Do not take a pregnancy test, as false positives are likely due to pregnancy hormones remaining in your body for weeks after the procedure.
  • Your normal period should return within six weeks of the procedure, but certain forms of hormonal birth control can make it come sooner, or later.
